Another band I found reading Decibel reviews, the album was Paysages Polaires. Bought that album elsewhere, loved it. So I decided to buy their first album here. The music evokes cold winter landscapes, love the harsh French vocals. Way to go, Cantique Lepreux. Salut!
Favorite track: Transis.
I bought this on other platform but it's better here besides I can support this amazing band, I've never get tired of listening to this album every song is hypnotic but this one in particular is so good
Favorite track: Tourments des limbes glacials.
Hailing from a scene that seems to endure as an archaic artifact of a genre that was extensively shaped by the early Scandinavian scene, Cantique Lépreux makes its public debut with 'Cendres Célestes'. While treading familiar ground, they unearth and truly encapsulate everything about their vision and are proof that there could not be a more suitable place than Québec to shape such glacier-cold and mournful hymns.
